We are Viola and Adrian, two friends from Berlin with many shared passions. Since meeting at university in London (Viola studied product design, Adrian fashion journalism), we’ve been exploring exhibitions, stores and restaurants and more often than not, we were high doing so. This sparked the idea to connect our love of design with cannabis and start a brand that reflects our lifestyle: playful but curated and confident with a sense of humor.
Viola is from Hanover and spent 15 years in London, where she finished her Master’s at Ravensbourne University and worked as a 3D designer. After years of visits she finally moved to Berlin last year. She loves film and pop culture, tennis and has an eclectic taste in music ranging from pop girlies to New Wave and Latin.
Adrian was born in Hungary and grew up all around Germany. After university in London, he moved to Berlin in 2012 and has worked as a freelance journalist and stylist since. He loves stoner excursions, the cuisines of Asia and has a nostalgic love of Pokémon.
The Way of Paff
The idea was pretty simple from the start: Weed needs an image re-vamp and people who smoke need an alternative to seedy smoke shops. We are inspired by boutiques, museum shops and design galleries and sell products that you don’t need to hide in a panic if somebody shows up at your place unannounced. The existing market caters almost exclusively to young, straight men although people enjoy smoking weed in every corner of society. We want to appeal to people who are turned off by plastic products and knock-off Bob Marley aesthetics.
Paff is a small company. We consciously avoid mass production and carefully select our products, which is why certain items may be sold out and need to be made to order. In such cases, we will contact you personally with details about delivery or alternative suggestions.
If you have any questions about our products, we strive to answer them as comprehensively as possible so we can be (almost) certain that you will be happy with your purchase. This way, we aim to largely avoid the back-and-forth of returns. However, if you are not satisfied, you can return unused products within two weeks.
As a consumer society, we have been conditioned to chase sales and discounts. We have deliberately set our prices to ensure fair (and somewhat smaller) margins, but in return, we don't offer anything "last season," which is why there will be no sales at Paff.
