The Lengua Bucket Hat is our first in-house designed product and embodies the carefree spirit of the warmer months. It was created in collaboration with Bujosa, a 75-year-old textile manufacturer from Mallorca that produces its fabrics on mechanical looms dating back to the Industrial Revolution. The fabric, typical of the island, is woven from flax and dyed using natural methods. The pattern is believed to have originated on the Silk Road in Central Asia, but was brought to the Balearic Islands centuries ago by merchants.
The hats are reversible, machine washable, and run large, so we recommend washing them before wearing them for the first time and shaping them while damp. They will become softer and more pliable with each wash and develop a beautiful patina.

Bujosa
The Bujosa family have been manufacturing their traditional „Lengua“ fabrics on century-old looms since 1949 in the city of Santa Maria in Mallorca. The pattern is named after the typical tongue shape (lengua in Spanish), which came from Central Asia via old trade routes centuries ago. Viola’s family have a strong bond with the Island and Bujosa, which inspired us to collaborate with them.
